Angry Metal Guy
A New World is probably my favorite iteration of the Final Fantasy orchestral music series. I love the chamber orchestra sound—it's lush and detailed and it translates to record better than a full orchestra. Furthermore, the choice of songs to work with is fantastic and the choices on the first volume were inspired and Vol. 2 doesn't disappoint. "Tower of Magi," "A Place to Call Home," and "Selbina" are special standouts.
Favorite track: Tower of the Magi (FINAL FANTASY II).
Recorded in the historic Dvorak Hall at the Rudolfinum in Prague, Arnie and Eric Roth, Benyamin Nuss and the New World Players return with a rich collection of their inimitable arrangements and incredible performances of music from throughout the FINAL FANTASY SERIES, including the most recent games.
Produced by Arnie and Eric Roth of AWR Music Productions, A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY - Volume II is an exclusive, officially licensed production with renowned game developer SQUARE ENIX.
